The annual conference ‘Cultuur in Beeld’ organised by the Dutch Ministry of Culture took place on Monday 25 November at the Fabrique in Utrecht. The theme for this year was The Power of Culture.

The European elections and new EU-programmes are coming up in 2014, these are new opportunities for the cultural and creative sectors to commonly shape Europe. While Europe is bursting with good examples of democratic innovation and socio-cultural developments, it also deals with great economic and societal challenges. As European citizens and as members of the cultural and creative sectors, we can contribute to these developments in Europe. We were therefore present at the CultSpaces during the Cultuur in Beeld conference where our colleagues Marjolein Cremer and Mascha Ihwe highlighted our European Agenda towards the European Parliament elections in May 2014.
