VAHA [meaning OASIS in Turkish] will connect and enable up to 50 independent arts and culture spaces and organisations for public programming to shape 16 local hubs interconnected within an international solidarity network.

Engaging the World: Towards a Global Cultural Citizenship.
As a member of the Consortium supporting the Preparatory Action “Culture in EU External Relations” initiative, we joined more than 350 international artists, academics and cultural representatives to discuss the results of the “Preparatory Action” on developing an EU strategy to mobilise the potential of culture in external relations. The discussions and feedback from the conference are now integrated in the final report which is available on the Culture in EU External Relations website.

A Cultural Dimension to the EU’s External Policies - from Policy Statements to Practice and Potential
This is the second part of a preliminary examination to ascertain whether there is sufficient interest in Member States, and if the preconditions exist, for the development of a coherent cultural dimension to EU external policies. It builds on an initial literature and web based survey conducted by the Boekman Foundation. Its tasks has been to verify whether the reasonably encouraging findings that emerged from the first study were true in practice, by interrogating stakeholders in six diverse EU counties: Denmark, France, Latvia, Poland, Portugal and the UK.
